Beautiful mountain land in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee for sale by owner with good house sites and great views and creeks, near Dollywood and Sevierville. We are in Cocke County near the town of Newport.

      Tract Description: This tract is bordered by the Old 15th Rd. (gravel), Cool Branch, Big Creek, three tracts of private property and U.S. Forest Service land .  . The elevation of our land is between 1600 and 1900 feet above sea level. We will sell this  tract of mountain land in small parcels or the entire tract. The price ranges from $7,000 to $10,000 per acre, depending on the size of the tract purchased. I will owner finance with $2,200.00 per acre down and balance at 10% over 15 years. We are presently remodeling the house and plan to sell it later with or without  additional land. We are located 2 miles from Christy Mission. This is where the TV series Christy was suppose to have taken place.

Churches: The Closest churches here are Methodist and Baptist and most religions are represented in Newport, Tenn.

Taxes: Taxes are low here compared to most areas of the country. Taxes on this  tract of mountain land (tract with house) was $512 for 2006 .

Road Maintenance: The roads will be maintained through a property owners association if the tracts of mountain land are sold in small parcels. If the land is sold in large tracts the new owners will be responsible for the maintenance of the roads.

Shopping: We do most of our shopping in Newport. There are several grocery stores, Wal-Mart and other stores. We have Lowe's Home Centers in Newport, Sevierville and Morristown. There are several large shopping centers and factory outlet stores in Morristown, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, TN and Asheville, NC

Property description: The are about 10 good house sites up on the mountain with good views. There are 12 to 15 acres on mountain fenced with metal post and 2 strands of barbed wire.
